This spread appears complicated, yet it is simply a focused expansion of a three card spread. Think of it as 5 spreads in one, with an extra card in the center (in the spread above the Man is the center card). I tend to use the center card to indicate a theme or general overall of what the spread is specifying, yet this is completely optional.
The 5 sections are as follows:
Top row - What want
Left 3 Cards in 2nd row - What is supporting you
Right 3 Cards in 2nd row - What is opposing you
3rd Row - Near Future
4th Row - The Outcome
You read this spread as you would a normal 3 card spread, with the intentions of what's listed above. Remember if you include the center card, this will act as a clarifier to all other sections in the spread. To individually read the sections, you'll want to ignore the center card at first, then include it into your interpretation at the end. Again, this is a personal choice to include this card. You'll want to decide before using this spread if you'll want to include this card or not. It can add clarity, but it also can make it slightly harder to read. If you're unsure, do not use.
The last two rows seem redundant, but you'll be surprised at how well it can predict both what will happen, and the outcome of that event. In the example above, you can see the outcome is a difficult decision, while the 'near future' explains what that decision will be.
In this example, you'll also note the "supporting" and "opposing" appear to be contradicting of each other, since the supporting appears negative and the opposing positive. This can be confusing when reading for someone else, but you will find that what's considered "negative" isn't necessarily. Struggles can make us stronger, thus end up being a support. On the same turn, those who seem helpful can end up hindering. This spread in particular is helpful at seeing what we may have missed, including our own wants.
